The engraving is actually carved into the wood versus printed on top of it. So it will mean taking necessary precautions to ensure the crevices are scrubbed clean with a soft toothbrush regularly.

Amazing Utility Piece I purchased this piece for my mother as a Christmas gift. Not only does it look elegant (bamboo), but the etching is well done and feels authentic. The board itself has two little hand grips on the under side of the left and right which are nice for getting a more sturdy hold when moving the entire board around.
Ultimately I was extremely pleased with the purchase, the quality, and price--and the most important part was that my mother loved it. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful gift Everyone spends time in the kitchen and a personalized cutting board is an awesome gift. Excellent quality and the engraving is clear and pretty. It is not as thick as some other boards found on other websites...however, for the price it is perfect. I've purchased many over the past few years and they are always loved I highly recommend.

Fantastic gift for the chef in your family I got this for my mother for mother's day. She recently became a grandmother and is a fan of "gwanma" as a spin on the original term; it's sort of become her brand.
