It is soft and the colors are beautiful. The embroidery is beautiful and well done. The carrying strap makes it easy to use as a neck roll and therefore, comfortable for use on long trips. Soft! The blanket itself is beautiful and soft. I absolutely loved it. However the gift box was extremely cheap and not worth the price. The boxes at the dollar store or at Walmart are better quality.
